Bel Thermal Units Inc. is a Florida Corporation that has been manufacturing Duct Heating products since 1971.

BTU offers many standard services to meet your customers meeds.

1. Qualified Personnel: There is always a qualified design engineer with over 30 years experience to assist you in obtaining the correct heater for your application. On request, BTU will fax or mail any submittal data, wiring diagram, quote, catalog, or engineering specification you need. If your customer has a question about a heating application or a field problem, our engineering staff will be happy to assist in resolving it by telephone or fax.

2. Consistent Quality: Each BTU heater is dielectric tested and recorded. A qualified Design Engineer inspects each and every heater for correct size,
KW rating, element design, wiring, components and spacing. Each heater has a work number assigned to the serial number so BTU can quickly locate how the heater is wired, what components were used, the wiring diagram used, the ohms and gauge of elements, etc. The "exact" wiring diagram is attached to the cover of the heater. It shows how the heater is wired, where the components are located and color codes for easy tracing. Each BTU heater is listed with UL and/or ARL.

3. On Time Shipping: Normal shipping is between 7 to 10 working days from date of order (without paying a "rush charge"). Lead time may be slightly extended during peak "heating" season. BTU offers a "Rush Service" on a limited number of heaters. When an order is placed on the "Rush Service Program" you will be given a guaranteed ship date.

5-Day Serivce Add 20% $20.00 Minimum/Net

Note: A Days Service equals "working" days.

4. Pricing: BTU is very competitive in the industry. For most heaters there is no charge for additional staging.

5. Standard Features: All BTU heaters meet or exceed National Electric Code, UL and ARL requirements to ensure safety and reliability. Each duct heater has the following standard features that some other manufacturers do not:

  1. Load carrying manual reset(s) for secondary
    protection.
  2. Hinged and latched control box covers.
  3. Durable low watt density coiled heating elements.
  4. Heavy Gauge galvanized control box and element
    wrapper.
  5. The smallest control box possible to meet UL/ARL
    requirements for easy installation.
  6. Stainless steel terminals.
  7. Individually packed in 275 lb. test cartons.

6. Optional Features: BTU custom manufactures each Duct Heater to meet your requirements with many optional components. BTU offers air pressure switch, circuit fusing under 48 amps (over 48 amps circuit fusing is standard), control box can be insulated, sequencing, sequenced with instant shut-down, control transformers, 80/20 element wire, delay between stages, pneumatic switches, mercury contactors, flanged construction, pilot relays, non-fused
door, interlocking disconnect switch, SCR controls, step controller, etc.
