F U S I B L E    L I N K S   A S S E M B L I E S come in a wide variety of phenolic and ceramic holders. The old numbers 2B, 4D and 4K series are very prevalent in the Electric Heat Industry. The holder series letter is followed by a 4 or 9 indicating the diameter of the fusible link lead wire. The next 3 digits are the melting temperature of the link in F. New numbers use degrees centigrade.

DESCRIPTIONS

3J4 SERIES are drop through hole, 1" x 2" rectangular ceramic with two 250" quick connects. They were used extensively on Bryant and Carrier units as BD167-001. No longer made.
4D4 SERIES are drop through hole type, tear drop shaped ceramic with a mounting hole for a screw at the small end. They have two .250" quick connects. New series is G4AM06
4K4 SERIES are drop through hole, round ceramic with a mounting strap to connect to the element terminal. They have one .250" quick connect. New series is G4AM04
2B9 SERIES are drop through hole type, 1 1/2" x 2" oval with 1 5/8" mounting centers. They are black phenolic and have two .250" quick connects. No longer made. Use 2B9 Adaptor and G4AM06 Series of same temperature.

NEVER by-pass an open fusible link assembly.
DO NOT REPLACE with one of a higher temperature!
